Discover Mystic Galicia 🔮

18 - 24 October 2020 | All Day | AED 310

Welcome to Galicia, the most northwestern part of Iberia. This is a different Spain, one on the Atlantic coast where rain and green feature more than the perpetual sun that the rest of the country is known for. One where they have their own language and where matriarchs, healers, witches and pilgrims all form part of the distinctive culture that can be traced back to the Celts. This is the last stop of the Camino de Santiago and a place whose inhabitants highlight their focus on the natural world, both ecological and metaphysical.

Galicia’s wild coastline is strung with cliffs, islands, rías (coastal inlets) and fishing ports bringing in arguably the best seafood in Europe, if not in the world. From here and specifically the Rías Baixas region come crisp and fruity albariño white wines that perfectly match the abundance of glorious seafood found in Galician cuisine.

This October BOCA wants to offer guests a glimpse into the unique culture and gastronomical heritage of Galicia. From October 18th to the 24th BOCA will offer a menu of five sharing dishes and a bottle of white albariño from Familia Torres’s Pazo das Bruxas (Home of the Witches) or a jug of Virgin White Sangria for AED 310. The menu will feature DIBBA BAY OYSTERS with citrus vinaigrette, tomato & infused watermelon salsa, GALICIAN BEEF TARTARE ROLL made with Galician Blonde sirloin, and trout caviar served on a home-made brioche, STUFFED PIMIENTO DE PADRÓN with smoked bone marrow and braised oxtail and of course the classic octopus dish PULPO Á FEIRA.

On October 21st and for one night only, guests opting for the Discover Galicia Week menu will also get a chance to experience Galicia’s mystic tradition of card reading. Diners on the night will have access to a session held in the private cellar with the ARROW SISTERS, a Dubai based card reader helping them evaluate career choices, love life, and even finding out when they will be able to travel again.*
